This is not the first time I am starting a blog and won't be the last. I love to write.
One of the best birthday presents I remember from my childhood was when my mom gave me a personal diary. I was six. Such a wonderful feeling when I started writing down my thoughts and recording special events. Experiences that in other circumstances had disappeared without a trace were now on a piece of paper to be revived over and over again! In a way, some would have said that I discovered my own way to become immortal. I believe you never fully forget anything but sometimes you put it on a drawer where your brain cannot find it. That is why I love to write. And more than writing I love the lessons that comes with it, the reflective practice that starts developing on yourself when you reread an old story with new eyes.
Another of the reasons to make this thoughts of mine reachable to other people is because there is always something missing on a personal diary. A nostalgia comes along when you realize that probably no one else will ever read those reflexive thinking. A personal diary keep all these valuable experiences to yourself, like someone that don't want to share their fortune. If by the simple fact of sharing my experiences I move someone else consciousness, heart, mind or soul with my reflections, will be worth the effort!
As you probably have noticed, English is not my first language. I am from Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain) and I have been living in London for almost 2 years. So that is gonna be a good chance for me to improve my language skills and, why not, to meet some people to share experiences and a coffee sometime! Please, feel free to comment and share your thoughts with me.
Thanks for reading and welcome to 'food for thought'.
